Invest Appalachia’s board is the ultimate authority guiding our mission and organizational responsibilities, including financial oversight. Our board members represent every state in IA’s footprint, and their perspectives reflect a variety of place-based organizations including CDFIs, local loan funds, community foundations, private foundations, grassroots organizations, community economic development nonprofits, and former government officials.

We are headquartered in Western NC, and involved in local recovery efforts as well as investment strategies to rebuild for long-term resilience and equity. Any financial contributions to Invest Appalachia will go directly to recovery and rebuilding efforts in impacted communities.
